POSITION TITLE: Associate Director of Special Events
GROUP: Development
SUPERVISOR: Marilyn Sammons
POSITION FUNCTION: Responsible for annual events and fundraisers and acts as a liaison with event committee members. This position is responsible for donor cultivation for events, collateral materials and invitation, marketing, public relations, committees, acknowledgments, and recognition. This position provides direction and leadership for the Young Professional Advocates. This position is responsible for community fundraising events and programs. Secures underwriting for all events as well as solicits in-kind products and services. Some evenings and weekends required as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS: Educational/Certification: Bachelor’s Degree and driver’s license required.
Experience Required: Three to five or more years of Development and/or Community Relations experience and Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience Preferred: Raiser’s Edge donor software

POSITION TITLE: Development Administrative Assistant
GROUP: Development
SUPERVISOR: Marilyn Sammons
POSITION FUNCTION: The position is responsible for donor records and information, maintaining business and clerical matters in a timely manner. This position coordinates functions of the Development office working on a daily basis with Development staff, committee members, community volunteers and in-kind gifts. Assists the Director of Development where and when needed and assists in all special events, mail solicitations, holiday, and other fundraising projects.
QUALIFICATIONS: Educational/Certification: Bachelor’s degree preferred. A combination of experience and education may substitute.
Computer Skills Required: Proficiency in Raiser’s Edge, Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to analyze donor related information and respond appropriately and/or to generate Raisers Edge extractions for needed statistics, donor information and reports.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Ability to juggle multiple demands and meet deadlines.
