Loren

Loren is a 1st grader at Chapel Hill Academy. She has attended five different schools in the past two years. Loren came to us behind both academically and socially. At first, she was unable to listen in class and did not appear to be retaining the information being taught. Loren's beginning of year benchmark test for reading revealed that she was reading at a low Kindergarten level. Her teacher worked hard with Loren in a small group setting, as well as one-on-one, to help her with her reading. She also received specialized tutoring. After a few months of intensive work, Loren is close to being on 1st grade level for reading and is quickly catching up with her classmates.
