Victoria Sendejo, M. Ed.
Principal

Mrs. Sendejo began her career at Lena Pope Home, Inc. in 1993 as a Family Specialist in the Family Matters Program, which gave her insight into the needs of the Tarrant County community. She worked with area children and teenagers along with their respective families and schools primarily focusing on family preservation services. After working in this capacity for two years, she returned to the University of North Texas and obtained a Master’s of Education. She went on to earn a teaching certification in Special Education and a Principal's Certification.
Mrs. Sendejo has worked as an educator for over ten years holding the positions of high school English Language Arts Teacher, Special Education Teacher for grades EC – 12, Special Education Coordinator, Assistant Principal in Elementary and High Schools, and as a Principal of a public charter school for students in grades 6th – 12th and psychiatric day treatment patients in grades Kinder – 12th in Fort Worth.
Having just completed her first semester at Chapel Hill Academy, Mrs. Sendejo values the opportunity she was given to return to Lena Pope Home, Inc. in a new role. She takes great pride in each of the students as they have quickly become an extension of her own family. While she and her husband have one child of their own, she is quick to add that she also has 272 other children for whom she is responsible for on each school day. With that in mind, her intent is that each student at Chapel Hill Academy experiences academic success and feels deeply valued and cared about as an individual.
Mrs. Sendejo believes that Chapel Hill Academy's newly adopted motto speaks for itself… “Our focus is YOUR child.” A parent recently told her that they walk away from CHA each day knowing that their children are safe in their ‘second home’ and feel that CHA staff treat the children as their own. "Your children’s educational success and well being is our priority. As we strive to achieve Exemplary ratings with (TEA) Texas Education Agency next year with our first TAKS administration, we also want that same rating from the parents and students we serve on a daily basis."
Mrs. Sendejo recognizes that parents have a choice in their child's educational setting and appreciates the opportunity to serve your child at Chapel Hill Academy.
